For Tripp, love Nikki
His mind wondered around. His eyes were looking desperately around the room. Everyone told him that he had everything he could wish for and even more, but he still felt empty as he looked. He had spent so much time looking for perfection and even to that point he had reach it. And all of his hard work had gone to waste? Was it even worth it anymore?
But even he wanted to end it all, he couldn’t do it. He feared what was after, he feared not having anything.
“I’m Ryeowook!” he laughed hysterically, “Every man in Korea wants to be like me.” He continued to laugh, “Yet, why am I so empty?” the words trailed off his lips with a sting of bitterness towards the word.
“Your empty because you haven’t eaten all day.”
Ryeowook turned to see who dared to bring such foul presence in his time of despair, it was Yesung, who looked as if he had just awaken…although it was almost 5 in the afternoon.
“How dare you mock my disparity!?” Ryeowook yelled as he threw himself against the wall.
“Oh~ here he goes again with the whole drama queen routine.” Yesung said taking the coffee pot and serving himself a huge cup of coffee. No sugar of course.
“I’m just saying that the fact that you feel empty is because you have eaten all day. Though, it was kind of my fault.” Ryeowook turned away from the solitude of the wall and turned to see the naughty smile that slowly formed on Yesung’s face.
“Damn right it’s your fault.”
Yehsung began to walk slowly towards Ryeowook, who could only turn away to hide his crimson face.
“…I mean…you haven’t stopped all day.” His blood began to boil as he felt the soft touches of Yesung face against his neck, “Ah~ Just because the other members are gone, doesn’t mean you have to be so forceful.” His breath quickened as the caresses were now being carried out by Yesung’s lips. Ryeowook couldn’t hold out any longer and soft moans began to escape him.

His whole body ached but he felt warm. Not because of what just had happened, that just made him feel tired… and achy. He felt warm because he was spending Christmas with the man he loved the most. He didn’t have to hide his feeling, his urges of just kissing Yesung. And he didn’t have to hide his face. Yeah, he was happy, but when he returned to the kitchen he felt that emptiness that had filled his whole being some time ago.
“What is it that I’m missing?” the question came without an answer. There was a soft sound coming from the door. He hoped that Yesung had come back for him, that Yesung would once more take the emptiness away. Ryeowook quickly turned toward the door. To his surprise it was only the clock that hanged from the kitchen wall, marking that it was 11 pm. Christmas was almost here and Ryeowook still felt empty. And he didn’t even know why.
Ryeowook returned to the bedroom, and found Yesung sleeping peacefully under the delicate silk that covered the bed. His body reminded Ryeowook of all the blessing that he had gotten during this year. He had found love, friendship, money and fame. Everything anyone would ever want, well not everyone. No matter how his life was now Ryeowook was not happy and he began to think that maybe just maybe that he was not meant to be happy.
“I am not meant to be happy and I know that’s making you unhappy.’ The words were cold and lifeless, but as they escaped Ryeowook’s warm lips, they became his life, his tragedy.
Yesung stirred under the blankets as he felt Ryeowook lay besides him.
“You’re back.” Yesung said with a gentle smile on his face.
“Yeah.” He mumbled forcing a smile on his face; he didn’t want to burden Yesung any further. He knew he was already hurting him. Yesung didn’t have to look twice to notice that there was something wrong. He knew what Ryeowook’s real smiles looked like. And the one that Ryeowook now wore, as he watched him was not one of them.
“I’m so selfish you know that?” Ryeowook said before Yesung could ask what was wrong. Yesung turned away and looked at the clock.
11:50pm
“I know.”
Ryeowook froze. He knew it was true, but it still hurt to hear Yesung say those words. His heart ached as he saw Yesung turn from him, so he knew? That was all he needed to know. That was all Ryeowook could ever ask for, for Yesung to know the real Ryeowook. To everyone else this might have seemed confusing or even stupid. But to Ryeowook it was bliss. Ryeowook turned to leave when he felt Yesung pull him back down. He tried to resist, but before he knew it, he was under Yesung.
“Is that what you wanted to hear?”
Ryeowook was shocked, he didn’t understand what Yesung meant by that.
“Is that what I was meant to say!? Is that what you want from me!?” Yesung yelled at the top of his lungs, while Ryeowook closed his eyes. Ryeowook had never seen Yesung like this…well he had never seen Yesung get this mad.
Ryeowook shied away under Yehsung, his eyes still closed tightly.
*flick*
Ryeowook opened his eyes in shock.
“Did you just flick me~?” He asked Yesung, whose face was no longer scary. Yesung just nodded with a faint expression of ‘You are such an idiot.
“Yup,” Yesung replied getting up and walked towards the door, “I just wanted to see how you would react,” he said turning to Ryeowook. Who was still on the bed totally god smacked, “No wonder why you are always on the bottom.” Once more Yesung’s face was tainted with the naughty smile that Ryeowook was beginning to fear. Ryeowook noticed how Yesung made a mockery of him. He threw a pillow across the room. To his bad luck, he missed and instead broke one of Heechul’s lamps. Yesung burst into laugher.
“You are going to get it when he finds out.” was all he said and he left the room.
Ryeowook, who turned away from the broken lamp and towards the door burst into rage. He ran out the room to look for Yesung.
He looked in every room in the apartment and he couldn’t find him. Ryeowook turned to see the clock. It read 11:59pm.
Christmas as almost here, and he was full of anger.
“Perfect.” was all he said as he turned to the kitchen and found Yesung. Ryeowook rushed to Yesung bluntly grabbing his arm, before he could vent his anger on Yesung. He caught sight of it and was taken by emptiness.
“Is this why you have been bitching all day?” Yesung asked without looking at Ryeowook. As well he didn’t notice how hard Ryeowook was holding on to him.
“Yeah.”
“I see…wifey, didn’t we talk about you not baking anymore?”
Ryeowook felt as his whole body become jelly.
“I know!!” he exclaimed as the tears began to form in Ryeowook eyes. “But its Christmas and I know how much you love cakes. But I am not a good wifey.” At this, Ryeowook began to cry and Yesung took him into his arms and softly swept Ryeowook’s tears away.
“I know that baking is hard for you, and I know that you are trying hard, but you don’t have to be good at everything.”
He took the deformed cake from the table and put it gently into the trash can. Ryeowook hugged Yesung and kissed him, wanting to feel warm around his arms.
As they kissed Yesung pulled away.
“Hey look! Its Christmas,” Ryeowook turned to see the clock and indeed it read 12:01am. Ryeowook smiled and turned to Yesung.
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
